Queste immagini raccontano la storia di sette viaggi nelle Filippine e di una storia d'amore con la persona che ora è mia moglie: Joni. Non si tratta di un tentativo di mero reportage: il mio intento è piuttosto quello di parlare il linguaggio delle emozioni attraverso la dimensione della geometria, del colore e della luce. Qui ho raccolto ciò che sentivo di voler catturare in luoghi e contesti che mi sembravano così nuovi, esotici, diversi, così distanti da ciò che avevo sempre vissuto al punto da trasformarsi a volte in momenti di terapia emotiva e di crescita.
In questi due anni, da luglio 2017 ad agosto 2019, Joni è stata il mio punto di riferimento. Lei è stata la chiave attraverso la quale ho potuto interpretare e accedere alla cultura dei luoghi che volevo esplorare. Senza di lei non avrei potuto vivere quello che ho vissuto, vedere quello che poi mi ha stupito e commosso, sfidato, offerto momenti di riflessione. Questa esperienza mi ha mostrato modi di esistere che non sapevo di poter trovare anche in me.

These images tell the story of a journey made up of seven trips to the Philippines and a love story with the person who is now my wife: Joni.
